TTFF Midlander(s) and others collect their audio guides. You can't see anyone cos they are in the EH ticket office on the left.
002 |
We all follow the instructions and go over to the display board and look at the Kitchen building. Room for plenty of cupboards in there. It's a bit bigger than a breakfast kitchen, more like a banquetting kitchen! |
003 |
Study the plan carefully. You may be tested on this later. |
004 |
No. Wait for the instruction to start.
I don't know! Some people just can't wait.
005 |
Plenty of fireplaces in this kitchen but someone seems to have taken all the cupboards off the walls. |
006 |
Now I'm sure there was a fireplace like this in our kitchen when I were a lad. - OK perhaps not quite so big. |
007 |
All mod cons including built in well. |
008 |
I wanted to make a feature of the brickwork but Lawrence L-B said we should go for purple and green. |
009 |
Twin split level ovens. |
010 |
Oooh what's in there? |
011 |
This room is a bit long and narrow. but it would make an excellent wine cellar. |
012 |
Hello. Is that the roofing contractor? Could you call round. I think we might have a bit of problem. |
013 |
Chris finds the entrance very imposing. |
014 |
They were definitely keen on doors. Doors to the left of you, doors to the right. |
015 |
Yes I'm on the phone to the roofer. Can you get on to the windows people? |
016 |
More nice stone work. Keep L L-B away from here. |
017 |
Another fire place |
018 |
No I don't want any double glazing, but single would be nice. |
019 |
A very ornate fire place. |
020 |
The Chapel |
021 |
I spy with my little eye. |
022 |
No, it can't be. It isn't phil up there is it? |
023 |
You don't want to know what was down there Chris. |
024 |
Yes I know there's a stair case. But where are the floors? |
025 |
You get a good view of the incoming rain clouds from up here don't you? |
026 |
Just to prove that I did go to the top, heres a view of the castle below. |
027 |
The ornamental fish ponds. Not much chance of a bite in there at the moment. |
028 |
The Moira Blast Furnace looking very clean. |
029 |
When the boat comes in. |
030 |
You shouldn't have told them we're from TTFF. Oh it's alright, he's unlocking the door now. |
031 |
Did I really put a tenner each way on this one? |
032 |
A very well ordered herd of pigs. |
033 |
The top of the blast furnace. No charge today. |
034 |
An early mobile disco. |
035 |
The base of the furnace. A nice place to warm your hands? |
036 |
Chris M waiting for the iron to appear. |
037 |
It's a load of bull rushes. |
038 |
The lime kilns. Now where do they bake the lemons? |
039 |
A fire hearth to warm up the limestone. |
040 |
Munchie Cat and helpers charging the lime kiln. |
041 |
A canal cruise approaches the blast furnace. |
042 |
And so we say farewell to Moira. |
