001

001

TTFF Midlander(s) and others collect their audio guides. You can't see anyone cos they are in the EH ticket office on the left.

002

002

We all follow the instructions and go over to the display board and look at the Kitchen building. Room for plenty of cupboards in there. It's a bit bigger than a breakfast kitchen, more like a banquetting kitchen!

003

003

Study the plan carefully. You may be tested on this later.

004

004

No. Wait for the instruction to start.

I don't know! Some people just can't wait.

005

005

Plenty of fireplaces in this kitchen but someone seems to have taken all the cupboards off the walls.

006

006

Now I'm sure there was a fireplace like this in our kitchen when I were a lad. - OK perhaps not quite so big.

007

007

All mod cons including built in well.

008

008

I wanted to make a feature of the brickwork but Lawrence L-B said we should go for purple and green.

009

009

Twin split level ovens.

010

010

Oooh what's in there?

011

011

This room is a bit long and narrow. but it would make an excellent wine cellar.

012

012

Hello. Is that the roofing contractor? Could you call round. I think we might have a bit of problem.

013

013

Chris finds the entrance very imposing.

014

014

They were definitely keen on doors. Doors to the left of you, doors to the right.

015

015

Yes I'm on the phone to the roofer. Can you get on to the windows people?

016

016

More nice stone work. Keep L L-B away from here.

017

017

Another fire place

018

018

No I don't want any double glazing, but single would be nice.

019

019

A very ornate fire place.

020

020

The Chapel

021

021

I spy with my little eye.

022

022

No, it can't be. It isn't phil up there is it?

023

023

You don't want to know what was down there Chris.

024

024

Yes I know there's a stair case. But where are the floors?

025

025

You get a good view of the incoming rain clouds from up here don't you?

026

026

Just to prove that I did go to the top, heres a view of the castle below.

027

027

The ornamental fish ponds. Not much chance of a bite in there at the moment.

028

028

The Moira Blast Furnace looking very clean.

029

029

When the boat comes in.

030

030

You shouldn't have told them we're from TTFF. Oh it's alright, he's unlocking the door now.

031

031

Did I really put a tenner each way on this one?

032

032

A very well ordered herd of pigs.

033

033

The top of the blast furnace. No charge today.

034

034

An early mobile disco.

035

035

The base of the furnace. A nice place to warm your hands?

036

036

Chris M waiting for the iron to appear.

037

037

It's a load of bull rushes.

038

038

The lime kilns. Now where do they bake the lemons?

039

039

A fire hearth to warm up the limestone.

040

040

Munchie Cat and helpers charging the lime kiln.

041

041

A canal cruise approaches the blast furnace.

042

042

And so we say farewell to Moira.
