The water wheel which provides power for the boring shop is an overshot wheel.
It is about 2m. in diameter, made of cast iron and is located under the Boring Shop.
It is supplied with water from the pentrough of the Grinding Hull wheel.
The wheel drives the Boring Shop machinery through leather belts which run over pulleys. The pulleys are on a line shaft running under the floor of the Boring Shop.
