Behind the scenes, at David Inman Optician, on Ecclesall Road, there is a fully equipped lens manufacturing workshop known as Ski Optical. It supplies prescription spectacles and lenses to many opticians.
Ski Optical offers a complete prescription lens service for both plastic and glass lenses.
The workshop, carries out the full range of prescription lens work including grinding and polishing the lenses, cutting them to shape to fit their frames and coating the surfaces. The finished lenses are optically tested using the latest electronic equipment.
Lens orders faxed by 3pm are usually delivered overnight anywhere in the UK by Optical Courier Services.
